Haki

In the words of the Strongest Creature in One Piece, “Haki Conquers All”. Haki is the power of infusing one’s own will into physical attacks and abilities. Some haki is inherent, but the main way to develop such a powerful skill is intensive training. Through lots of harnessing the skill, a proficient Haki user can destroy towns in a single punch, glimpse into the future, and knock even the toughest goes out with just a stare.

There are three core types of haki, each with their own uses and abilities, those being:

Armament Haki. This is the type of Haki that allows the user to use their own spiritual and will powered energy to create, essentially, a piece of armor around themself, giving the one applying themself with Armament Haki immense power and immense defence. The most simple form of this is a black shiny coating along one’s body for defence, but can evolve and develop into a system in which you can physically attack the spirit of a foe.

Observation Haki. This is the type of Haki that allows the user to use a sort of sixth sense to detect people or things around them. A proficient Observation Haki user can dodge all kinds of attacks and can detect people and movements from miles away. The most simple form of this is giving the user the ability to better dodge incoming attacks, but a high-level Observation user can even glimpse into the future and automatically dodge incoming attacks unless another is also strong in observation.

Conqueror’s Haki. This is the type of Haki that allows the user to incapacitate goes by exerting their will in an aura around them. This is the rarest type of Haki, as unlike Armament and Observation, the power of a conqueror is locked behind those with fitting ambitions, known as Supreme Rulers. It is said that only about 1 in a million people has the gift of Conqueror’s Haki. The most simple form of this is a wave radiating from you powered by your own will that is able to render foes unconscious, but can develop through combat experience into strengthening your weaponry, connecting your will to physical objects and storing it, disabling other’s Observation Haki, and so much more.
